From tattoos to lip fillers at the Herne Bay shop

A business offering fat-dissolving injections and lip fillers is set to move into a former Kent town center tattoo parlor.

Herne Bay café owner Nejmi Hassan, who owns the Bank Street site, said earlier this month he was left “surprised” by the level of interest in the premises.

It was vacated by Stavros Tattoos in December, after bosses decided to up stick to Ashford rather than hike prices as it struggled during the cost-of-living crisis.

And now it has confirmed beauty firm Viso Aesthetics will move into the building – where it will offer treatments to customers ranging from £50 to £850.

Owner Yianna Florides, who grew up in Broadstairs, told KentOnline: “We specialize in anti-aging skin treatments, microblading and facials suitable for both men and women.

“We’re totally flexible, so anyone can walk in on the day and see what we can do.”

The clinic, which has another branch in Chislehurst High Street, will also offer fat-dissolving injections and anti-wrinkle injections alongside its range of treatments.

Fat dissolving is considered a non-surgical way of targeting fat cells in certain parts of the body and consists of administering the solution into localized fat deposits.

Alongside this, the training academy side of the business will give people the chance to gain official qualifications in certain beauty treatments.

“All of our courses are CPD-accredited and are insured, as well as being overseen by an on-site nurse,” Ms Florides added.

“By offering a safe, professional environment for people to learn, we’re hoping to be able to make a positive difference for those willing to put the work in to get it right.”

“We really believe that it will be a great addition to the area and will help diversify the career options available to people locally.

“We’ll be open from 4pm on January 31, and we’re excited to see a lot of new faces.”

Mr Hassan says he was approached by up to 15 companies a day wanting to take over the premises.

He believes it demonstrates the level of interest businesses have in moving to the Bay.

“Since the shop became available, I’ve had up to 15 people a day inquire about moving in, so the competition has been really stiff,” Mr Hassan explained.

“It’s not been an easy decision but Yianna has really impressed me and I’m delighted to welcome her and her business to the area.

“Viso Aesthetics will offer the town something a bit different, and by offering qualifications it has the potential to be a really useful asset.

“It also goes to show how keen people are to move their businesses into Herne Bay, which is incredibly pleasing and something I hope we can really begin to capitalize on in the future.”
